We hold Beginners' classes for adults throughout the year. The next beginners class will start on Tuesday date to be determined. .

If you are keen to start fencing lessons before the next Beginners Class starts, we have coaches who provide individual beginner lessons for $30.00 per lesson. As with the class lessons these are usually paid for in 10 lesson blocks. The individual beginners course is usually 12 x 30 minute lessons. Once you have completed the beginner course you can join the Tuesday 7.00pm adult class.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to continue short term hire equipment for lessons. The club is offering a long term hire (10 to 14 weeks- length of beginner course) after which if you continue you will need to buy your own equipment and clothing. It will be a $100 deposit and $5 per lesson equipment hire. You will take the gear home for the duration of the course. You can either purchase the gear that you have using the deposit and pay the difference, buy your own gear using the refunded deposit and paying the difference or if not continuing, return the gear and the deposit will be refunded to you.

Adults' classes are run weekly for fencers who have completed the beginner's course or have experience in fencing and would like to learn more.(For ages 15 and over.)

We start beginner children with 12 individual lessons so they learn enough to be able to join one of the junior/children's classes which are held on Saturdays.
Ten individual lessons cost $300 and they go for 20 to30 minutes each.

CHILDREN'S CLASS - (For children who have completed our beginner program.)
Children's classes are held every Saturday to give children a chance to learn and fence in a fun environment. (For children who have completed our beginner program or have previous experience in fencing.)

The Advanced Juniors classes are held every Saturday for junior fencers (U20).
To participate in this class your child's skill and experience level will need to be assessed.

General fencing and bouting is held during the week. It is open for anyone to come and have a hit. Please note that you can fence both non-electric and electric, but should bring along your own electric equipment as the club's supply is limited.

Learn the skills necessary to become a Jedi Knight by attending these lightsabre fighting classes. Basedon actual blade fightingthese interactive classes teach you the finer points of sword fightin so you can quickly advance from Padwan to Jedi Master.
In 2019 the French Fencing Federation (FFE) announced their rules for Lightsaber fencing.
Club coach, Stephen Lake, attended the first international workshop on Lightsaber fencing hosted by the FFE.

Here is the basic kit list required to participate in the classes.
Start with a glove minimum and build up in the above order. If you have been in the classor fencng for 6 months or more, you are expected to have the full basic kit.
After a while, I recommend that you consider getting some electric equipment.

The Swords Club 2020 Membership fees are being collected now.
Membership for Club Members each calendar year (January to December).

You can use the Active Kids voucher as part of your 2021 membership fee. To apply for the voucher, please visit https://www.service.nsw.gov. au/transaction/apply-active- kids-voucher . Please send a copy of the voucher together with the completed membership form. You just need to pay the balance of the Junior Membership fee (i.e., $60 for renewing members, $65 for new members).
