Welcome to The Swords Club!
The club was formed in 1913, and is the oldest continually operating fencing club in Australia. It operates from the gymnasium at North Sydney Girls High School in Crows Nest.
The club's membership has included many State and Australian champions, and has been the centre for State and National training squads, competitions and camps.

We welcome fencers of all abilities from beginners to advanced. The Club offers beginners classes for all ages, individual coaching in foil and epee, as well as social fencing.

CLUB NEWS
The Swords Club 2021 Membership fees are being collected from December 2020. Membership year is from January to December each year.
The Club is able to operate and provide the venue for its members to enjoy the sport through the funds received through membership fees.
From December 2020 you can go to the Club Information page (click here) to pay your 2021 Membership. Download the club membership form, which includes details on how to pay and Junior members access Active Kids vouchers.
Junior members can use 2020 Active Kids vouchers before 19 December 2020 and pay the difference in 2021 for their 2021 membership.

The Swords Club January/Summer Fencing Camp -
Foil Fencing
For junior club member fencers who have completed the beginner phase of their training.
Dates:
Monday 18 January 2021 to Friday 22 January 2021
Time: 9.30am to 3.30pm with a 45 minute lunch break
Venue: The Swords Club, Gym/Hall at North Sydney Girls High School
Cost: (still to be finalised but looking at around $200 to $250 per participant.)

Learn the skills necessary to become a Jedi Knight by attending these lightsabre fighting classes. Basedon actual blade fightingthese interactive classes teach you the finer points of sword fightin so you can quickly advance from Padwan to Jedi Master.
In 2019 the French Fencing Federation (FFE) announced their rules for Lightsaber fencing.
Club coach, Stephen Lake, attended the first international workshop on Lightsaber fencing hosted by the FFE.
In 2020 the club will be starting Lightsaber Fencing lessons:
These will be held each Saturday;
You are free to remain and practice after these times.
Students will be given a “foam sword” which is suitable for most practice activities.
Lessons are $200 per term with an additional $50 for equipment hire.
